I just forgot about the meeting. I moved my daughter from Macon to Valdosta last weekend, and was hanging a mirror on Sunday at her house about 4:00 pm. This week I am moving another daughter from Valdosta to Emory, and the following week, a third daughter from Valdosta to Georgia Tech.

Hodges Hobbies is having a Glider Day this Saturday. I went two years ago. A low key affair, but when else can you fly with Mac and Bill all day? Electric sailplanes are OK.

My name is Wes Harper, the President of the Moultrie Radio Control Airplane Club and we are having our 2nd annual swap meet on August 14, 2010. There are tables still available for reservation and we would like for you to join us then. The swap meet will be held on the Sunbelt Ag Expo grounds at Spe...

I mailed him a check last Saturday for 2 cuttings in June and 2 cuttings in July. We should now be current.

I have to take my youngest daughter to Georgia Tech for orientation this weekend and will miss the meeting.

We will have about $700 in the bank account after I pay Frankie for the June mowing at Cecil.

Good job on the mowing.

Due to the July 4th Holiday, I propose that we have our July 2010 meeting at Blackburn Park on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at 3:00 pm, rain or shine. This would allow people to fly before or after the meeting. Our Charter has been renewed by the AMA. I have a Certificate if anyone wants to look at it. Th...

Given the renewed interest in the club (and after I noticed that we were no longer listed as a club on the AMA website), I spent a few hours this morning filling out the paperwork to get our charter renewed. The paperwork is now "in the mail", together with a renewal check in the amount of...

I have spent the last few hours trying to figure out whether we need to file a tax return. Since we are a hobby club with less than $25,000 in annual receipts, we should qualify as a tax exempt social club under 501(c)(7). We do not need to file a form 1023 or form 1024 in order to get tax-exempt st...

A club meeting was held at Blackburn Park on Sunday, June 13, 2010. Club members spent about an hour walking the site of the new field. Stakes were placed outlining the area we would like cleared of trees. Floyd will follow-up with the Recreation Authority regard cutting down trees in the marked are...

Floyd, Ken and I just got back from Blackburn Park. The upper field has been brushhogged by the Recreational Authority. Without the long grass, you can see the great potential for the site. I was always worried about the size of the field. No more. Even the sun and wind appear to be in a good positi...

Bart (or anyone else) - do you know Frankie's address? We owe him two checks for May, and I now have counter checks from Heritage bank and can send him a check.

I will try to stop by Blackburn after work today. If mowing has been done, I think we should have a meeting at Blackburn Sunday afternoon, rain or shine.

I assume that there was not a meeting last Sunday because of the rain. I started out to the meeting, but the rain was so bad, I turned around while still on North Valdosta Road. The PAB bank in Adel has been bought out by Heritage Bank. I stopped by today and ordered some checks (1st order free) sin...

Just a friendly reminder that our June meeting is for this coming Sunday, at Cecil, at 3:00 pm. We have several important topics to discuss.
